Sprayway Kara Women's Half Zip Long Sleeve Top

A lightweight base layer top with all the benefits of Merino wool, the Kara Half Zip Long Sleeve top is an essential layer for all conditions.

The Kara Half Zip Top is made with Merino Wool. Merino Wool has much finer fibers than ordinary wool, which means that it is extremely soft, has an excellent warmth to weight ratio, and is very absorbent. It also retains warmth when wet. The Kara contains 145gsm of a 50/50 blend of natural merino wool and synthetic polyester fibers, making it an ideal layer to wear next to the skin in order to regulate body temperature and keep skin healthy.

As well as these excellent properties brought through Merino wool, the Kara is naturally anti-microbial and odour resistant, making it perfect for exercise and training as well as everyday life. The material is quick drying, and the design contains flat locked seams to ensure next to skin comfort.

About SPRAYWAY

Founded in 1974 two outdoor enthusiasts in Manchester, England the brand quickly became one of Britain's leading outdoor clothing companies. Sprayway has been keeping the British public warm, dry and comfortable in all conditions ever since. From humble beginnings out of a garage in Chorlton, Manchester; to kitting out arctic explorers and National Park rangers. Sprayway has been keeping the British public warm, dry and comfortable since 1974.

John Hunt and Simon Wright initially began making sailing clothing as a natural extension of their passion for competitive dinghy sailing. They were also keen mountaineers and recognised a lack of solid, durable and waterproof climbing clothing at the time. Driven on the famous Manchester climate surrounding them, the two began manufacturing coated waterproof jackets. 1982 the brand had launched its first GORE-TEX jacket, the Snipe and in 1983 became the first company to machine tape non-GORE-TEX waterproof clothing, named the Hydro-dry range. Hydro-dry remains an integral technology to this day.

Now in its 40th year, the SPRAYWAY brand continues to use innovative fabrics across a wide range of products and continues to produce garments which utilise cutting edge technology whilst remaining true to their Mancunian roots.
